First comes love…

{source}

Good morning, friends! It is crazy business to think that this November will mark the fifth anniversary of marriage to the hottest Italian Stallion I know. I LOVED our wedding. It was truly a glorious day of fun with 300 of our closest family and friends…we “got down with our bad selves” in a major way. The wedding planning stages were some of the most exciting and Jay and I managed to have “our” little creative touches woven throughout the entire event…

BUT…good lord, have you seen all the creative wedding styles and designs that have come out of the woodwork the last year or so?! I mean, I would have an absolute BALL planning our wedding NOW with all the amazing, crafty ideas around. I love it because I feel that there was a major shift from the traditional wedding in a church with the generic bouquets, aisle markers and flowers, followed by a reception with food in a dining hall of some sort.

There was a shift from the way things “have always been done”…a shift from “your wedding” being about other people to really being about and reflecting you and your beloved. I think it is beautiful.

I know with the beautiful warm weather comes the busy wedding season. I thought I would post some of my favorite wedding websites to hopefully inspire some of you ladies looking to add that personal, creative touch to your upcoming nuptials:

First Stop: Style Me Pretty

FULL of beautiful photography and creative ideas for everything from the dress to the dinner. They recently launched their Style Me Pretty E-glossy magazine and it is nothing short of stunning and gorgeous with amazing wedding details and ideas. This website is WAY more than just an inspiration site, it is a full-on community of vendors {little black book}, brides-to-be and more…so start here…

Second Stop: 100 Layer Cake

Holy moly! Talk about B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L…the photography alone on this website will make you SWOON. For super creative ideas, crafty inspiration boards and some of the most dreamy photography around, check out this website for sure.

Third Stop: The Broke-Ass Bride

I mean, seriously, the name itself is freakin’ ridiculous and awesome, so just do yourself a favor and check out this website and all the crafty DIY ideas and tips for doing your dream wedding on the cheap!

Fourth Stop: Wedding DRESSES!!

The BHLDN {pronounced “beholden”} BUZZ has saturated the world wide web over the last two weeks. HOT off the presses, Anthropologie recently launched it’s vintage-inspired wedding line and I am dying over these dresses, shoes and accessories…

Goodness if I could do it all over again…my husband would kill me just for mentioning it, so maybe I’ll start saving my ideas for our next BIG anniversary…is the six year anniversary big enough?? Okay, okay…maybe not:)

Be inspired today and SMILE…just because it’s fun to do it…
